To benefit the community following a disaster or emergency. This will be achieved by securing resources; providing grants; informing and educating the community; and participating in coalitions with other local organizations to restore, rebuild and make the community safe. GREEN VALLEY LAKE, CALIFORNIA October 22, 2007 - Green Valley Lake received the highest percentage of home and business losses of any community hit by the devastating California Wildfires. 75% of the homes lost do not qualify for Fema or charitable aid. The loss of three businesses had significant economic impact to the community. Property owners suffered millions in insurance shortfalls.
